Creation

Three accounts of the beginning survive, and none of them claims to come first. In one, the Titans stood near the Beginning, perhaps witnesses to creation and perhaps born while it still echoed, and set about shaping matter, themselves and reality. In another, a single primordial mind fragmented as the universe came into being; two of its pieces, and , turned creation toward their war, while a third, , tried to restore the unity that was lost.

In a third, the ancient were bound in a primordial harmony until Ezalor walked out of the Fundamental plane, and Io and Enigma keep their own memories of the Schism. Whether these were one event seen from three sides, three stages of one long dawn, or three beginnings that never touched, no teller says. They stand side by side.

Three origin accounts, told side by side; no single creation reconciles them.

Upon a pale horse he rides, this spark of endless suns, this Keeper of the Light. Ezalor long ago escaped the Fundamental plane, separating from the other ancient forces to which he was bound within the great Primordial harmony. He is a power grown sentient in the dawn of the universe, and now rides forth in all planes at once, one step ahead of pursuing chaos, bearing his gift with him at the end of a radiant staff.

His majestic truth lies hidden beneath the outward appearance of a slightly doddering old man who barely stays in the saddle. However, when faced with the challenge of chaos, or the forces of darkness, his primordial light bursts forth, and his full power is revealed, transforming him once again into a force to be reckoned with.
