Mireska Follows Her Father's Map

Mireska carries her father's map to Fellstrath after saving it from the fire she set at home. She grew up loving tales of the lost city and its riches. Her father collected artifacts and scraps of rumor until fascination became obsession. He especially wanted the destructive power of the Mo'rokai. She took his prized map when she left, and her travels taught her to see a real road where she had once doubted there was one. Bounty collectors followed close behind. She urged Jex toward Fellstrath and the chance of a few trinkets.

Mireska finds reason to believe the Shadowgate Amulet is real and resolves to seek it. She regrets bringing a bigger mess to Fellstrath but hopes to slip past the Mo'rokai and make the journey worthwhile.

Goodkind finds Mireska at White Spire's race track and pays for the interview with her purse. Mireska watches with a betting slip while a small wisp brings her coins, then a whole purse. Goodkind recognizes her own purse, reaches for her belt and finds it gone. Mireska vanishes before she can look back.

Mireska closes her adventure by telling Jex they found the Shadowgate Amulet while others dealt with the beasts. She talks of making a rich town pay and considers returning to Revtel. Inai warns that the toll of using the amulet will not agree with her. She gives no answer to that warning.
