The story
Sacred relics kept cold on display in the burned again when took them for his own. For a long time they were steel and nothing more, put out where everyone could see them. Whatever the Fortress had kept them for, it had not kept them lit.
Then Xin took them, and the inner heat that had slept in them woke. The rapiers hold their heat now, and the man who carries them is the reason.
The Rapiers of the Burning God alone tell of the relics' waking.
