The Succession of White Spire

's syndicates, gangs, and secret societies had not pulled the city into chaos because held its underworld together. She was murdered 'last week', whenever that was, and her death left a power vacuum. Four figures stepped forward to claim her place as the voice of White Spire: , , Jull, and .

Hobgen alone is explicitly identified as Eeb's former lieutenant; Jull explicitly says he wants to restore order. No killer is named, and no winner: the succession is not settled.

La historia del héroe

Jull is the proprietor of the infamous , an bootlegger, and one of the four claimants to 's place. He is a businessman first and a criminal second: he runs a massive smuggling operation to keep his bar stocked with Icewrack's beverages, disregards the law, and takes pride in honoring his word. After Eeb's death he believes he has the temperament and strength to restore order to 's criminal underworld.

His pruno business in keeps growing, and Slark is instrumental in moving the product in and out of the prison. He and Tusk share a past neither is quick to talk about, and can cooperate or ruin each other depending on the day. He took Bristleback on as a paying pupil, a retired pugilist preparing a brawler for his next bar fight with Tusk.
